Psalm 1

Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.

Today, I was reading back through this passage. Great wisdom can be found in these few verses. We as believers are to look at ourselves and pattern our lives not after the ways of the world, but we are to pattern our lives by meditating on the Word of God throughout the day to be able to rightly divide the word of truth. We are to be able to give an account for Christ. We are to stand out, be difference makers. Not, living in sin, running from God, chasing after thing that will profit nothing. We are to be leaving our mark in the world, for Christ. For it is through him that all things are possible and all truth is revealed. So, go change the world today and see what Christ can do through you! He is able, if you are willing!

I'm Back

It is my goal to from this day forward blog here, daily. To present topics evident to what is going on around us and to help us with the daily struggles we all have. Take this journey with me. It is sure to be a blast.

Words to Live By

None is righteous, no, not one, no one understands, no one seeks God. All have turned aside.... (Romans 3:10-11a)

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4)

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:1-2)

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (Romans 10:9-10)

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. (Psalm 63:1-3)
